“Are we the turning point generation?” celebrated at the pre-festival edition of Taruwa May 29, 2014

It was a night of music, literature and drama as the pre-launch edittion o f Taruwa held in Lagos on 27th of May. The event was graced by some of the literature circle’s elite, the likes of CNN’s Vladimir Duthiers, Phisayo and Aderonke of Smooth FM, Omoye Uzamere of Rhythm 93.7FM, Olori SuperGal and a warm crowd receiving the open mic performances.

The book by Chude Jideonwo “Are we the turning point generation?” was specially recognised, as the author was specially invited to answer questions and share excerpts from his book.

The author shared the chapter “We must kill God” with the audience, The chapter focuses on the manner in which Nigerians seek solace and praise in God after every singe immoral act, the author said ” I drew the inspiration for this after Diepreye Alamieyeseigha escaped after being declared wanted, only to be asked how he did it and he gave glory to God.”

The audience beamed as they giggled and rendered affirmative mannerism to the narration of the author.
