The book by Chude Jideonwo has drawn the attention of some the most respected literary groups in Nigeria, Most recently, The Abuja writers forum. The event which held on the 31st of May 2014 at the VIP celebrity bar of Nanet hotel Abuja, was graced by the states finest journalists, readers and literary elite.

Copies of the book available at the venue were sold out an hour into the event, as guests were captivated by the sheer genius of the author who begun his first reading with the chapter “searching for a vote of confidence”

The crowd was marveled by the truth that underlined the authors words, as the passage he read was originally published in 2011 and it was as though it spoke of our present day. For his second read, the widely praised chapter “We must kill God” was rendered by the author and the hall beamed with excitement and commentary from the audience, at random times, members of the audience would cheer and throw-in “There is God oo!”

The author took questions from his audience and answered with reverence, as the debate for an unshaken belief in Nigeria lingers every time.

At the reading was the critically acclaimed laurete  Mr Eddie Iroh, congratulated Mr.Jiodeonwo for his outstanding dedication for the true Nigeria’s noble cause. He also purchased a copy of the book.

IMG_20140531_192748As the event wound up, the author joined the audience and members of the Abuja writers forum in a vocal remembrance of the kidnapped Chibok girls.

Pictures were taken as every member present chanted “#BringBackOurGirls now and alive”

The author thanked Mr Emman Shehu, the organizers of the event and expressed his deep appreciation of platforms like the  Abuja Writers Forum for keeping the flames of literature alive.
