The pre-launch media tour of the book “Are we the turning point generation?” by the prolific media executive Chude Jideonwo, made a stop at Smooth 98.1 FM. The author was live on the “Strictly Soul” show with Aderonke in the early hours of today for another thought provoking discussion on the issues that plague the emerging generation of leaders.
Answering the question of why he decided to publish his collections of essays as a book, the author responded ” I published this book because there is a dearth of books that address the questions that this generation needs to answer in order to became the generation of change”.
The presenter read an excerpt from a chapter in the book titled “We must kill God”, expressing much intrigue she read, she questioned the author about his justification for using such a striking title.
Drifting slightly from the book, the author drew attention to the unfortunate kidnapping of the Chibok girls and emphasised that “No one has a right to not be angry” , his emotions could be deduced as he spoke passionately and rather upset with the government over the manner in which the matter has been handled thus far.
The official launch of the book comes up on the 25th of may 2014, at an exclusive event at the Federal Palace Hotel Victoria island Lagos. Keep up by following #ChudesLaunch #Arewetheturningpointgeneration.
